New learning environment...
Sunnyside Hub balances academic progress and creative therapy to provide a positive environment to facilitate learning. The core focus of the hub is to use art and outdoor education based activities to re-engage individuals with their learning and allow them to thrive.
The Hub uses experienced qualified teachers to support the learning programme allowing for a smooth transition, as well as ensuring that academic demands can be met.

Essential skills...
The Skills Builder Universal Framework underpins the sessions at Sunnyside Hub ensuring that students are developing skills essential for success in life and to increase their employability.
New evidence shows that these skills unlock learning in the classroom, boosting academic outcomes, perseverance and self-belief. They halve the likelihood of being out of work, and increase earnings across a lifetime. They even boost wellbeing and life satisfaction.
Positive change...
The core focus of Sunnyside Hub is to support social and emotional needs, improve mental health and create positive changes in student's attitude to learning, motivation, confidence and self-esteem.
There will be a variety of non-academic courses/awards that can be delivered at the hub:
- Art Awards
- First Aid Qualifications
- John Muir Conservation Award
- National Outdoor Learning Award (NOLA)
- Junior Award Scheme for Schools (JASS)
- Sports Leaders Young Leader Award program
- Duke of Edinburgh Award
